How to add a Korean keyboard on Android (Gboard, Samsung)
Gboard (most Android phones):
- Open any app where you can type, then tap the gear icon on the keyboard. (Or: Settings → System → Keyboard → On-screen keyboard → Gboard.)
- Tap Languages → Add keyboard → Korean.
- Choose 2 Bulsik and tap Done.
- Switch languages with the globe key, or by holding the space bar.
Samsung Keyboard (Galaxy phones):
- Open Settings → General management → Samsung Keyboard settings.
- Tap Languages and types → Manage input languages and turn on 한국어 (you may need to download it).
- Tap 한국어 and choose the Qwerty layout, not Chunjiin.
- Swipe left or right on the space bar to switch languages.
Menu names differ slightly between phone makers and Android versions. If you cannot find a menu, search for “keyboard” inside Settings.
