Double consonants and compound vowels on the Korean keyboard

Double consonants use Shift: Shift + ㅂ ㅈ ㄷ ㄱ ㅅ gives ㅃ ㅉ ㄸ ㄲ ㅆ. Shift + ㅐ gives ㅒ, and Shift + ㅔ gives ㅖ. On a phone, tap the shift (↑) key first, or hold the key.

Combined vowels are typed as two keys in a row: ㅘ = ㅗ + ㅏ, ㅝ = ㅜ + ㅓ, ㅢ = ㅡ + ㅣ, ㅚ = ㅗ + ㅣ, ㅟ = ㅜ + ㅣ, ㅙ = ㅗ + ㅐ, ㅞ = ㅜ + ㅔ.

Double finals are also two keys: 닭 = ㄷ ㅏ ㄹ ㄱ, 없 = ㅇ ㅓ ㅂ ㅅ, 읽 = ㅇ ㅣ ㄹ ㄱ.
