Korean typing problems and how to fix them
English letters appear instead of Hangul: your keyboard is still in English. On Windows press right Alt (or 한/영); on Mac press Control + Space; on a phone tap the globe key.
Letters stay separate (ㅎㅏㄴ instead of 한): you are probably using a character picker or an unusual input method. Install the standard Korean keyboard as described above. If it still happens, try the Chrome browser.
No sound: Korean audio normally plays from recorded files, so first check that your volume is up and sound effects are on in Settings. If a sentence still has no audio, your device has no Korean voice installed. iPhone, iPad and Mac usually include one. On Android, install or update “Speech Recognition & Synthesis from Google” and download Korean voice data. On Windows, go to Settings → Time & language → Speech → Add voices → Korean. You can keep practicing without sound.
No Hangul printed on your keyboard: use the layout chart above, or Korean keyboard stickers.
No key click or result sound: check that sound effects are on in Settings (⚙, top right). On iPhone, turn off the side mute switch, tap the screen once, then type.
